ANCEL BM200 12V Wireless Battery Monitor
General Details
General Details
The ANCEL BM200 is a compact wireless battery monitor designed to provide continuous visibility of a vehicle's 12V battery and charging system through a dedicated mobile app.
Using Bluetooth 4.2, the BM200 connects to compatible iOS and Android smartphones, allowing users to monitor battery voltage, battery condition and temperature in real time. The system can also perform cranking and charging tests, record individual trips and provide alerts when abnormal battery data is detected.
The BM200 supports a wide range of 12V vehicle applications, including cars, motorcycles, SUVs, MPVs, light trucks, trucks and boats. It is designed primarily for 12V lead-acid and LiFePO4 starting batteries.
The monitor features IP67 waterproof protection, reverse-polarity protection and short-circuit protection, while its low average operating current of approximately 1.5mA is designed for continuous installation without significant battery drain.

Real-Time Battery Monitoring
The BM200 provides continuous monitoring of key battery information through the mobile application.
Users can view:
• Battery voltage
• Battery condition
• Battery temperature
• State of charge
• Historical battery data
• Battery charging information
Historical information can be displayed graphically, making it easier to observe changes in battery performance over time.
Cranking Test
The BM200 can automatically monitor the vehicle's electrical system during engine starting.
The cranking test records relevant battery behaviour when the engine is started, helping users identify unusual voltage changes or starting-system performance.
Important: Cranking data requires an applicable vehicle starting scenario. The manufacturer states that battery starting data may not be available when the device is not being used in a vehicle with an engine-starting cycle.
Charging System Test
The BM200 can monitor the vehicle's charging system while the engine is running.
It is designed to test conventional alternators and can provide information relating to charging-system performance.
Important: The manufacturer states that the charging test supports ordinary alternators but does not support smart alternators. The test should be performed while the engine is running.
Trip Recording
The BM200 can record individual driving trips through the connected mobile application.
Trip information can include:
• Driving time
• Route
• Distance
• Location information
• Driving records
• Fuel cost information where configured
Trip records can be viewed through the app, with route information displayed on a map.
Vehicle Location & Route Tracking
The BM200 can work with the smartphone's GPS and location services to record vehicle parking positions and driving routes.
The app includes a Car Finder function designed to help users navigate back to the recorded vehicle parking position.
GPS-based features depend on the smartphone's GPS being enabled and the application having the required location permissions.
Abnormal Alerts
The BM200 can send notifications to the connected smartphone when abnormal battery data is detected.
This allows users to receive alerts through the mobile application rather than needing to manually check the vehicle battery.
Phone notification permissions must be enabled for abnormal alerts to function correctly.
Data Storage & Synchronisation
When the smartphone is temporarily outside Bluetooth range, the BM200 can store battery information for up to 30 days.
When the smartphone reconnects within Bluetooth range, stored information can be automatically synchronised with the application.
The system also provides a private user account so that stored data can remain associated with the user's account.
Multi-Battery Management
The BM200 supports monitoring of up to four devices on the same page, allowing users to monitor multiple compatible batteries through the application.
This can be useful for users managing several vehicles or battery systems.
Mobile App
The BM200 uses a dedicated application available for compatible iOS and Android smartphones.
The application provides access to:
• Real-time battery monitoring
• Cranking tests
• Charging-system tests
• Trip records
• Route tracking
• Battery history
• Abnormal alerts
• Data storage
• Test-result sharing
• Problem feedback
• Online updates
• Multi-battery management
