800ml Car Headlight Restoration Liquid Polymer Kit
800ml Car Headlight Restoration Liquid Polymer Kit
General Details
General Details
This Car Headlight Restoration Kit is designed to help restore the appearance and clarity of faded, yellowed, scratched, oxidised or hazy vehicle headlight lenses.
The restoration process combines six grades of wet sanding with a heated liquid polymer treatment. The progressive sanding process prepares the lens surface, while the polymer treatment helps improve transparency and restore a brighter, clearer appearance.
The kit includes an 800ml supply of restoration liquid and a stainless steel evaporation cup designed for rapid heating during the treatment process.
Headlight Restoration
The treatment is designed for common forms of headlight lens deterioration and surface damage.
• Yellowing: Helps restore the appearance of discoloured lenses
• Oxidation: Helps remove oxidised surface material
• Hazing: Helps improve cloudy or blurred lens appearance
• Scratches: Sanding helps address surface scratches and imperfections
• Peeling: Suitable for headlights affected by surface deterioration
• Clarity: Helps improve the transparency and appearance of the lens
• Shine: Designed to restore a cleaner and brighter finish
Six-Stage Wet Sanding
Thorough surface preparation is an essential part of the restoration process. The kit includes six grades of sandpaper for progressively refining the headlight surface.
• 180 Grit: Initial surface preparation
• 240 Grit: Progressive smoothing
• 360 Grit: Further removal of surface imperfections
• 600 Grit: Refinement of the lens surface
• 800 Grit: Further smoothing before final preparation
• 1200 Grit: Final sanding stage
• Wet Sanding: Use water throughout the sanding process
• Cross Sanding: Change sanding direction between stages to help remove previous sanding marks
Liquid Polymer Treatment
Following sanding and cleaning, the restoration liquid is applied using a heated evaporation and fumigation process.
• Liquid Volume: 800ml
• Application Method: Heated evaporation / fumigation
• Evaporation Cup: Stainless steel construction
• Fill Level: Approximately one-third of the cup
• Heating Time: Approximately 5–10 minutes
• Surface Finish: Designed to improve lens transparency and appearance
• Adhesion: Manufacturer describes the polymer as having strong adhesion
Easy Restoration Process
Step 1: Inspect the Headlight
Check the lens for yellowing, oxidation, hazing, crazing, peeling and scratches.
Step 2: Protect the Surrounding Area
Work in a clean, dry and wind-free environment. Cover the paintwork and trim surrounding the headlight with protective film.
Step 3: Sand the Lens
Wet sand progressively using 180, 240, 360, 600, 800 and 1200 grit sandpaper. Use water and cross-sand between stages until the original gloss has been removed evenly across the entire lens.
Step 4: Clean & Dry
Wash the lens thoroughly after sanding and dry it completely with a clean towel.
Step 5: Heat the Restoration Liquid
Pour the liquid into approximately one-third of the evaporation cup. Heat the cup for approximately 5–10 minutes according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Step 6: Apply the Treatment
Direct the generated vapour evenly across the prepared headlight surface. Once treatment is complete, disconnect the equipment and allow the lens to finish as instructed.
Stainless Steel Evaporation Cup
The included evaporation cup is designed to heat the restoration liquid efficiently during application.
• Material: Stainless steel
• Heating: Designed for rapid heating
• Application: Liquid polymer evaporation
• Capacity: Fill to approximately one-third during use
• Purpose: Generates vapour for treating the prepared headlight surface
Suitable Applications
