Torque-Sensor Pedal Assist

The TSDZ8 uses a torque sensor rather than relying solely on a conventional cadence sensor.

48V Battery Compatibility

The TSDZ8 version supplied here is designed for 48V batteries with a maximum output voltage of approximately 54.6V.

A 52V battery with a maximum output voltage of approximately 58.4V is not compatible with this version of the motor and should not be connected.

Always confirm the battery voltage and maximum output voltage before installation.

Installation Notes

The motor must be installed with sufficient clearance between the motor housing and bicycle frame.

If the motor contacts the frame during installation, additional spacers may be required. The supplier specifies optional 41 × 35 × 2.5mm gaskets for situations where additional clearance is necessary.

The speed sensor should be secured with cable ties, with approximately 10-15mm between the sensor and magnet.

The motor is designed to operate under load and may not operate when tested with the bicycle wheel or drivetrain unloaded.

When powering on the display, do not apply pressure to the pedals during startup.

If an XH18-LCD display is selected, the throttle may function only as a power-assist level adjustment depending on the configuration.

Important Notes

This is a 48V-only motor configuration. Do not connect a 52V battery to the 48V version.

The advertised 45km/h maximum speed is configuration dependent and may not be achievable in all installations.
