Mid-Drive Motor Performance

The mid-drive design positions the motor around the bottom bracket, allowing motor power to work through the bicycle's drivetrain.

Choose the configuration that best suits your intended application:

• 500W BBS01B/BBS02B: A lower-power option for compatible commuting and touring builds.
• 750W BBS02B: A higher-output option for riders seeking additional assistance for hills and varied terrain.

Maximum torque varies by motor model. The supplier specifies approximately 100Nm for the 500W version, 120Nm for the 750W version and up to 160Nm for the 1000W BBS-HD.

CAN Bus Communication

Display and battery compatibility depends on the selected motor version and electrical configuration. Confirm that all components are compatible before ordering.

Riding Modes

The conversion kit supports three main riding modes:

• E-Bike Mode: Use the thumb throttle where supported by the selected configuration.
• Pedal-Assist Mode: Choose from nine assistance levels to adjust motor support while pedalling.

Bottom Bracket Compatibility

The supplier specifies a threaded BSA bottom bracket shell with an internal diameter of approximately 33.5-36mm and shell wall thickness of no more than 12mm.

Minimum chainstay clearance also varies by motor model. The BBS-HD requires approximately 50mm or more, while the BBS01B/BBS02B requires approximately 40mm or more.

Important Notes

Choose the correct motor model, power rating and bottom bracket size before ordering. The BBS01B, BBS02B and BBS-HD have different specifications and compatibility requirements.

The supplier lists optional 48V battery capacities of 13Ah, 16Ah, 18.2Ah and 20Ah. These batteries are sold separately. Confirm battery compatibility, discharge-current requirements and connectors before use.

Although a 36V 250W sticker may be supplied, it does not change the motor's actual rated power. The 750W and 1000W versions may exceed legal limits for road-legal e-bikes in your jurisdiction. Check local regulations before installation and use.

The kit is not recommended for carbon-fibre frames or coaster-brake bicycles. Check bottom bracket measurements, frame clearance, chainstay clearance and drivetrain compatibility before purchasing.

Actual performance, speed, range and torque depend on the selected motor, battery, controller, gearing, wheel size, rider weight and terrain.
