Upgrade a compatible bicycle with a genuine BAFANG BBS02B mid-drive motor conversion kit. Available in 48V 500W and 48V 750W configurations, the BBS02B is designed to provide electric assistance through the bicycle's existing drivetrain.

The mid-drive motor sits centrally around the bottom bracket, allowing the bicycle's gears to work with the motor for a versatile riding setup. The system supports E-Bike, Pedal Assist and normal bicycle riding modes, with up to 9 levels of pedal assistance depending on the selected configuration.

The kit includes the BAFANG motor, display, speed sensor, chainring, wiring harness, thumb throttle, brake levers and installation hardware. Battery is not included and must be purchased separately.

Mid-Drive Performance

The BBS02B transfers motor power through the bicycle's existing drivetrain rather than driving the rear wheel directly. This allows the rider to use the bicycle's gearing while receiving electric assistance.

The system supports three primary riding modes:

• E-Bike Mode: Motor assistance controlled through the supplied thumb throttle
• Pedal Assist: Motor assistance while pedalling, with up to 9 assistance levels
• Normal Bike Mode: Motor switched off for conventional unassisted riding

Bottom-Bracket Compatibility

Correct bottom-bracket compatibility is essential before ordering.

The BBS02B is designed for bicycles with compatible threaded BSA-style bottom brackets and an internal diameter of approximately 33.5-36mm.

Available configurations include:

• 68mm Version: Suitable for approximately 68-73mm bottom brackets
• 100mm Version: Suitable for approximately 89-105mm bottom brackets

The bottom-bracket shell wall thickness should be T ≤ 12mm for proper installation.

Minimum chainstay clearance should be approximately 40mm.

Installation

The BBS02B replaces the bicycle's existing bottom-bracket and crank assembly with the supplied mid-drive motor.

The kit includes an installation tool set and locking nuts.

Professional installation is recommended if you are not experienced with bicycle drivetrain and electrical system installation.
